A portfolio of friends

Who doesn't want best return on their investments? Does all the financial assets perform equally good? Well the answer to the former question is Yes, in fact the principal goal behind investment is to get a good return in long term. And obviously not all the financial assets perform equally good. Nevertheless your entire portfolio needs considerable amount of your time and money. During this period some of the stocks becomes your favorite because they give you the best return.

The same investment strategy applies to friends as well. An investment in a friend gives you plenty of happiness and joy in return, and also a promise that you will never feel lonely and sad. A happy soul makes a body healthy. And happiness is when you have a best friend whom you can call anytime, talk endless, share tasty recipes, go shopping, make fun of rest of the world and the list is incessant. Without investment of time and efforts its very hard to retain the best of your best friend.


In your life you meet countless number of people and some of them becomes your friend. And there are very few whom you call your best friend. You have plenty of friends in every phase your life, but you are very fortunate if one of them stays with you in all phases of your life.

Life is a long journey that must be travelled no matter how good or bad circumstances are. But no journey is too long if you have a right friend with you. Be it your college life or school life, married life or life at a completely new place, you need that one person with whom you can be yourself. There are times in the life where you got be moved to a place where you don't have your kith and kins. Under such circumstances it is not possible to make a relative, but its relatively easy to find a friend.

How to get best return in friendship?

We all are very busy in our life because of work, kids, commute and other demands which takes priority over everything. However you can still take out some time from your busy schedule and invest your valuable time in that valuable friend where you know that in return you will receive guaranteed love, affection and satisfaction.

My recipe for best friend

  • Talk to your friends regularly. So here regularly does not mean that you call them everyday at the cost of your work and daily chores. The point is to keep the relationship alive by talking, texting or meeting over coffee, movie or may be brunch. If your friend is going through tough time then it is always a good practice to make a follow up call and text to make sure everything is okay, or if they need your help.
  • There is a very thin line between concern and interference. You got to be very cautious and try not to ever interfere in other person's life. Lot of interference may result untruthfulness into your relationship.
  • Like every relationship there are ups and down in friendship as well. You may not like everything about your friend, but you can find the good things about her and be happy about it.
  • Trust is the key of every successful relationship. You can be yourself with your friend only if you can trust her. So Never ever or for any reason break the trust and jeopardize your friendship.

So go out, travel to new places and meet people and be friends with them. Enjoy all the special moments spend with your friends.

Dieting was very difficult option for me, because I feel it is important to satisfy both physical hunger and mental hunger.
